Minister for Education of Singapore got acquainted with Kazan Federal University

The visit occurred on 27th August.

Minister Ong Ye Kung and his colleagues were greeted by vice-rectors Linar Latypov and Marat Safiullin. Before listening to a university presentation by both vice-rectors, the guests toured the History Museum, the Zoological Museum, and the Ethnographical Museum.

“I am very impressed by the history of Kazan University and its museums. In the nearest future, we are going to discuss cooperation questions, including prospects for the opening of educational centers,” said Ong Ye Kung.

Later, Dr. Safiullin commented on the two matters that make Singapore stand out, “We are interested in how they have managed to make their education one of the best in the world and how they develop in a multi-language non-English environment. The Singaporean model shows how you can achieve meaningful results within reasonable time when you concentrate your resources on priorities.”
