Cooperation talks initiated with Shinshu University

A meeting was held in Japan on 7th August.

The main topic of the discussion was a possible opening of a joint laboratory on polymer materials and nanotubes in Kazan. The talks were attended by Rector Ilshat Gafurov, Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky, Trade Representative of Tatarstan in Japan Tamerlan Abdikeev, and Professor of Shinshu University Morinobu Endo.

KFU established its in-house Laboratory of Prospective Carbon Nanomaterials in 2016. The lab specializes in graphene oxide solutions, graphene oxide nanocomposites and their applications for catalysis, new materials with nanocarbon filling, graphite intercalation compounds, dispersion stability of carbon nanotubes, and chirality distribution of nanotubes.
