Today employees of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic System (LIRS) have tested a mini-experiment that demonstrated the use of the mobile robot "Servosila" Engineer "to eliminate the consequences of disasters." The robot had a task to transfer the device for measuring the level of radiation, hydrogen sulfide and volatile compounds. The device was provided by the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who were interested in the experiment and further cooperation with the laboratory. "Engineer" successfully managed to carry out a mission assigned. The data, obtained from the device that was transferred, were received to the Mobile Complex of Radiation and Chemical Monitoring. In the future, the use of the robot will minimize human resources in eliminating the consequences of radioactive and chemical accidents.
