Professor Evgeni Magid presented a paper at the International Conference on Machine Vision ICMV 2016

Representatives of industrial and academic society participated in the IX International Conference on Machine Vision ICMV 2016, which was held on 18-20 November in Nice, France. The aim of the conference was to strengthen collaboration and research data exchange in such areas as machine vision, image processing and analysis, image recognition and basic technologies.
Members of Intelligent Robotics Department of ITIS Higher Institute the Higher Institute of ITIS in collaboration with Bryansk State Technical University and Innopolis University described results of joint research work in the paper on "Methods of Comparative Analysis of simultaneous localization and mapping for autonomous internal navigation based on ROS ". The paper was written in the framework on the project named "Localization, mapping and path planning for unmanned ground robot (UGR) with the assistance of group of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with utilization of collective technical vision and planning in common trustful area of robot group". The research is carried out with the participation of the research group of the ANPL laboratory of the Aerospace Technologies Department of the Israel Technion University under the supervision of Professor Vadim Indelman and with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Space of Israel. At the conference a Head of the Intelligent Robotics Department professor Evgeni Magid presented the results of the joint work at the session on "Image Processing" session. He also held the session as a moderator and was awarded a gratitude letter on behalf of conference organizers for his great personal contribution to the conference work.
The paper will be published in the conference proceedings and indexed in the bibliographic databases of Scopus and Web of Science. The preprint of the article is available in the "Publications" section.
Next year, The 10th International Conference on Machine Vision will be held on November 13-15, 2017 in Vienna, Austria.
