The delegation from Turkmenistan visited the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems

On 30th of April a delegation from Turkmenistan visited the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) of Kazan Federal University (KFU). A cooperation between the KFU and the Republic of Turkmenistan is currently implemented within the scope of studying Turkmenistan students in KFU.
From 2000 to 2009 the number of Turkmenistan citizens studying in KFU did not exceed 3 or 4 people a year. However, their amount increased: in 2010 there were 10 students accepted for study, in 2011 – 81, in 2014 there were 113 students. Today there are 1525 people from Turkmenistan which study at KFU.
During the meeting a Head of the Laboratory professor Evgeni Magid told the guests about the projects implemented in the laboratory and about the opportunities of studying in the Higher school of ITIS under “Intellectual Robotics” bachelor’s and master’s degree education. Moreover, the professor showed the equipment, which co-workers and students of LIRS use. In September 2017 the master’s program was successfully started in ITIS. Today it is the robotics program of the international level. Every year we edit it with additions and changes for updating on world trends and demands of employers. This year we plan to open the bachelor’s “Intelligent robotics” program in the Higher Institute of ITIS.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. The guests highly assessed our work, interesting projects, learning programs and laboratory’s modern equipment.
