Cooperation memorandum signed by Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication and Dongduk Women's University

The delegation of Dongduk University's Institute of Eurasian Turkic Research visited on 27th June.

Professor Alfiya Yusupova held a tour of the Institute of Philology for the Korean guests and spoke about Kayum Nasyri Institute, a special purpose entity established for the global popularization of the Tatar language. A presentation of Ana Tele (Mother Tongue), online Tatar language school, was held.

Director of the Institute of Philology Radif Zamaletdinov then introduced his institute and spoke about its most prominent former and current employees.

Head of Dongduk delegation, Professor Oh Eun-kyung, touched on her university's history and how it was established to champion the belief that “educating one woman is more important than education one hundred men.”

She added, “Of course, Korea has many Turkologists, but we don't have scientists from Russia. We would like to strengthen our cooperation with Kazan University and alleviate that shortage. We have to popularize and promote Turkology in Korea. And we want for Koreans to know about Tatar language.”
