Last week Moscow Automobile and Road Technical University held the third international regional conference IGIP in Engineering Education. It was attended by the delegation of Naberezhnye Chelny Institute (KFU) headed by Mahmut Ganiev, Dean of Automechanics Faculty; Rifat Khabibullin and Irina Makarova, professor of the "Service Transportation Systems" department with a presentation on "Interaction of education and business as a basis for sustainable economic development".
The 43rd International Symposium IGIP in Engineering Education is to be held in September 2013 in Kazan at Kazan State Technological University. Under present conditions, due to the special role of engineers in competitive innovation economy, the importance of engineering education is steadily growing. In modern engineering training, special importance is given to the development of engineering creativity with a focus in getting the commercial impact of market promotion of the intellectual products and technologies.
Naberezhnye Chelny Institute has already yielded positive results - students trained by target programs of contract preparation demonstrate a clear example of "future engineers" who are in high demand in the innovation economy.
