How to develop a mobile application for one day? On March, 22 students and pupils got answer to this question. In the KFU second building was held an event organized by Microsoft – an express – school on development of mobile applications «BootCamp».
All interested, who registered in advance, could be able to create applications for the newest platform Windows 8. Moreover, those participants who came early were given the new book “Application development for Windows 8 on Language C#”. Above all, the event participants could learn more about opportunities for students, given by the company and also about events planned for the nearest future.
Samples of graphical solutions for Windows 8 applications were shown within express-school. There were also demonstrated the advantages and simplicity of the system in comparison with its processors and examples of codes in language C#. “BootCamp” participants demonstrated their created projects. For example, students developed the application that allows to display current picture on screen if there was identified a specific IP-address assigned to a robot-camera. Simultaneously you can assign the second address to the second camera, that allows to display what is happening on the second camera. Express-school gathered more than 90 people, among them there were students from the Institute of Computer Mathematics and Information Technologies, KFU Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems, representatives of KFU branch at Elabuga and pupils of 7-8 forms.
After the regional final stage all interested were invited to participate in On-line school Windows 8 that will be held from 1-12 May on Microsoft Internet space. For details: http://www.intuit.ru/department/se/appdevwin8/.
This event was organized under the guidance of the KFU Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems and Microsoft Centre of Innovations within preparation to the Regional final stage of International /technological competition MicrosoftImagineCup 2013 in Kazan, that was organized on March, 23 in the Technopark of innovations «IT-park».
