Her Excellency and Embassy Secretary Gunther Bender visited Kazan University on 27th April.

After touring the History Museum, the guests joined Vice-Rector Linar Latypov and KFU employees for a negotiation. Dr. Latypov presented the University to the visitors, both of whom were here for the first time.

KFU has some ties with the Republic of South Africa. In 2015 – 2019, Kazanites and their colleagues from South African universities have co-authored 85 publications, including 64 in Earth and planetary sciences.

Dr. Latypov invited South African professors to attend. Ms. Sibanda-Thusi noted that her nation is interested to promote cooperation on all levels.

The sides also agreed that KFU needs to attract students from RSA; there are currently none here.
