Cooperation agreement signed with International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan

The two sides have plans for academic mobility and joint research.

International Islamic Academy was established in Uzbekistan in 2018. It specializes in Quran studies, hadith studies, fiqh (Islamic law), and kalam (Islamic doctrine). It is now the only Islamic education institution in Central Asia to offer postgraduate degrees.

Director of the Institute of International Relations of KFU Ramil Khayrutdinov shared, “Apart from traditional discussion of educational and research projects, we also mentioned that Uzbekistani colleagues can tell us about their experience of creating a dissertation board in theology. We are planning to open one here at KFU, and it has already happened at IIAU. In their turn, the colleagues are interested in interacting with our Islamica Resource Center and Institute for Central Asian Studies.”

KFU can also help facilitate cooperation with religious education institutions in Tatarstan, such as Bolgar Islamic Academy.

Just recently, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Academy of Public Administration of Uzbekistan.
