From 15 to 28 April, 8 students of Higher Institute ITIS are trained in the Huawei “Seeds for the future” educational program in China. Among them is Nail Alishev, a student of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of Higher Institute ITIS.

Nail Alishev:

“I passed the selection contest, consisting of several stages. First wrote and filed an application. Then there was an interview in English by phone. Mainly they interested in my experience and projects in which I participated. As part of this short-term educational program, I will also participate in conferences. I think that my experience in preparing weekly reports at LIRS and participation in a seminar on robotics, also organized by LIRS, will help to participate in the conference. I am the first time in China. Three days of intensive study have already passed, everything is very interesting, well organized. Loved the varied local food. "

The “Seeds for the future” program was launched by Huawei in 2008. The goal of the program is to find and develop talents in different countries in the field of information and communication technologies. As conceived by Huawei, the transfer of knowledge of the youth industry will contribute to a better understanding of the telecommunications sector, creating and strengthening the ties of the region, increasing the involvement of young people in the digital community. In 2016, 30,000 students from 96 countries of the world completed the internships.

“Of course, the participation of students in such internships gives them invaluable experience, an understanding of the importance of quality education at the Higher Institute ITIS, which helped students in an honest competitive struggle to bypass competitors from other universities, developing communication skills with foreign colleagues, expanding the horizon of their vision and understanding of the world, and much more. At the same time, the brain drain is no longer going to the West, according to my European colleagues, but to the East, to China, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. The only deterrent for the relocation of many Russian IT specialists and scientists to China is the bad ecology environment and the need to master the Chinese language in order to have a comfortable life in this interesting, but very specific country. I think that in a few decades China will cope with environmental difficulties, and then such a wave of migration will become inevitable. Therefore, Russian IT companies, including Kazan, should pay attention to the experience of Huawei and actively launch mechanisms for attracting talented students. In order to establish such mechanisms, we are currently negotiating with several Kazan companies about the possibility of for students to study at mater's prohram in “Intelligent Robotics” at Higher Institute ITIS Graduate School practicing in companies for solving interesting and real high-tech companies. ”
