North Korea Delegation to LIRS

On October 18, the North Korean delegation visited the Laboratory for Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Higher Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) for the first time. The delegation was represented by Kim Ha, Senior Researcher of the DPRK University of Natural Science , head of the laboratory Pak Kwan Il and senior lecturer at the Faculty of Biology Chon Kiel Un. It is worth noting that Chon Kil Il is a graduate of the biological faculty of Kazan University in 1987.

Evgeni Magid, the head of the laboratory, presented the guests the projectsof the laboratory, opportunities and prospects for studying at the Higher Institute ITIS l under the undergraduate and graduate programs in “Intelligent Robotics”. The guests highly appreciated the scientific potential of the laboratory and the Higher Institute ITIS  in general and expressed desire for cooperation.

The representatives of the DPRK University of Natural Sciences come to KFU for the first time. The University of Natural Sciences of the DPRK is a university located inside the National Academy of Sciences in Pyongyang (North Korea). In 1962, the university was founded as a subdivision of Kim Il Sung University, but in 1985 it became an independent educational institution.
