Five-month program in molecular biotechnology for Beijing Union University students wrapped up

Certificates were given out yesterday.

The ceremony was attended by vice-rectors Dmitry Tayursky and Andrey Kiyasov and program supervisor, Chair of the Department of Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Pharmacology Ramziya Kiyamova.

Professor Kiyamova informed that the course covered molecular biotechnological processes, highly active producers, principles of immobilization of cells and enzymes, and genetic engineering.

In the learning process, students acquired skills in molecular biotechnology, molecular biology, industrial microbiology, and molecular genetics.

Teaching was provided by three departments – Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Pharmacology; Genetics; and Microbiology.
