First Health School meeting organized at University Clinic

It is a part of the PRO Science initiative.

Rector Ilshat Gafurov addressed the attendees, “We opened the PRO Science project to invite every citizen to see what are the university’s priorities. Today, we are launching a school to unite patients, doctors, and researchers. The most important topic here is diagnostics, including oncology in particular. There is a screening system in our clinic which helps to detect an arising ailment early. Moreover, we are planning to open a translational medicine clinic by July 2019. It will test all the newest achievements in the country and in the world, including our own research.”

After the greeting, University Clinic employees and KFU scientists presented their lectures on various topics – longevity, gastrointestinal diseases, kidneys, diabetes, etc. Furthermore, interactive displays and guided tours of the clinic were offered to the public. Three medical checkups were distributed in a quick lottery.

This community outreach project will become a regular one.
