One of the top cloud services and cybersecurity providers dispatched representatives to Kazan University yesterday.

During the talks, Acronis Development Officer Nikolay Grebennikov said, “Not long ago, Serguei Beloussov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting. After that, there was a suggestion to refresh our knowledge about the Republic. I am for the first time at your university, and I can see that much has been done in IT development here.”

Rector Ilshat Gafurov responded, “Here we have our key figures, leaders of IT institutes. Of course, we need to know what level of education you are interested in. It will be very useful for all of us if you take time to visit these institutes and witness what and how we teach at Kazan University.”

The invitees were Director of the Higher School of IT and Intelligent Systems Ayrat Khasyanov, Director of the Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT Sergey Mosin, Head of AstroChallenge Research Unit Oleg Sherstyukov, and Vice-Rector for Economic and Strategic Development Marat Safiullin.

“We will be interested if you find an opportunity to open a permanent representative office at Kazan University. The effectiveness of such cooperation will be higher than regular meetings,” added Dr. Gafurov. He pointed out that development should be area-focused, for instance, on IT for medicine, and cover all program levels from undergraduate to doctorate.
