President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the opening ceremony of the University Clinic's outpatient facility

Despite renovation works, the polyclinic did not cease regular functions even for a day.

The changes were long overdue, since the building didn’t even have an elevator. Currently, it occupies 6 thousand square meters, and the top floor (fifth) is now dedicated exclusively to teaching rooms. Renovation investment amounted to 260 million rubles.

Electronic queue now offers all the convenient ways to make an appointment, which includes telephone, website, and a dedicated smartphone app, Univermed KFU.

A new endoscopy center, Endos, opened doors after the renovation. New possibilities include somnology research, advanced X-ray testing for chest X-ray, mammography, densitometry, and tomography. A 128-slice CT scanner provides for noninvasive and low-radiation heart vessel and colon scanning.

This new renovation project is in line with the translational medicine priority put forth by Kazan University and implemented since 2015, when a final decision to establish the University Clinic was approved. Importantly, this last change was made without interrupting regular services for the local population and sets a new standard in its sphere.
