A meeting was held in London on 12th December.
The agreement became a fruit of a long process spearheaded by Rector Ilshat Gafurov and the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance.
Lewis McKinnon, Regional Business Development Manager of the University of London, visited KFU in May. An agreement was reached to submit documents for a double degree program. Yesterday, pens were put to paper by Dr. Gafurov, Pro Vice-Chancellor Mary Stiasny, and Pro-Director (Planning and Resources) David Webb.
The Institute of Management, Economics and Finance has already launched an English-language bachelor program in economics and international business. 47 people enrolled in 2018. Starting from the sophomore year, they receive parallel tuition from LSE.
The enrolment procedure, apart from standard Unified State Exam scores for Russian citizens, includes an interview in English.
During yesterday's meeting, Rector Gafurov and the London side discussed plans for further academic mobility and joint programs in law and IT.
