Entrepreneurship Factory gives away year-end accolades

Rector Ilshat Gafurov presented a new entrepreneurial education system during the event on 10th December.

The award ceremony, as usual, took place at the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance. Speaking about the entrepreneurship programs, Rector Gafurov said, “We included a 72-hour program in all curricula, but it's not enough, we need a hundred hours. Whichever institute a student attends, she has to know how to implement knowledge for entrepreneurial activities.”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov used this model (supervised by the Higher School of Entrepreneurial, Technological and Social Development) as an example of effective business education, “It's important for schoolchildren and students to develop business in Tatarstan. We have to introduce business teaching into curricula.”

During the yesterday's event, Entrepreneurship Factory contestants showed their projects to a panel of experts, including Rector Gafurov. Before showing their achievements, they went through a training course with personal tutors.

As for winners from KFU, Oleg Belov was commended for his lighting equipment project. IT Lyceum pupils were awarded for a souvenir production startup; they use 3D printing to produce unique gifts.

An expo of business ideas was also held during the ceremony.
