Tenth PRO Science event kickstarted University's anniversary celebrations

The evening gathering on 15th November attracted over 3 thousand people.

Rector Ilshat Gafurov welcomed the attendants and shared that the next year will be even bigger for PRO Science because it will mark the University’s 215th birthday. In particular, the next science night may be dedicated to biomedical sciences, and the University Clinic plans to join it. Meanwhile, this event was to coincide with the celebrations of 214 years of KFU’s existence.

Yesterday’s meeting included popular lectures about electronics, healthy diets, human brain, optical illusions, and other captivating topics.

As usual, robot football drew many eyeballs and was a great entertainment for little guests. Kids could take laptops in their hands and handle LEGO-made robots themselves.

Chemical experiments, museum exhibits, and a Chinese culture workshop were also in demand. Almost all of the youngest visitors took home handmade slimeballs made from glue, food coloring, and boric acid. Microscopes were available for everyone to study properties of local sols and various foodstuffs.

PRO Science has become widely known in the city, so many headmasters arranged trips to this event with schoolchildren.
