11th International Conference 'Russia-China: History and Culture'

The forum is being held on 18th – 20th October.

Kazan University has become a hub for China-related studies lately. For instance, over a 1,000 people are currently learning Chinese here. Big bilateral events are held annually in education and economics. There is a new Volga-Yangtze cooperation format. Just two months ago, Consulate General of the PRC in Kazan opened doors.

KFU has 23 partner universities in China, 19 research partners, and 1 joint educational center with Haier. There over 800 Chinese nationals enrolled in KFU, and 659 undergraduates study Chinese language and culture in 4 different majors.

Congratulations on the occasion of the event have been sent by Consul General of China in Kazan Wu Yingqin and Center for Russian Culture Studies of Hunan.

As usual, the conference covers such major areas as Chinese philology and language studies, Russia-China relations, history of China, Chinese philosophy and culture, and a panel for young researchers. Over 200 contributors have arrived from 6 countries.

The opening day, 18th October, was marked by a new agreement signed by Director of the KFU Institute of International Relations Ramil Khayrutdinov and Director of the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies Zhou Fangyin.
