The tagline is Thermal Methods for Enhanced Oil Recovery: Laboratory Testing, Simulation and Oilfields Applications.
The two previous conferences were held in Kazan, but, as per the reached agreement with Chinese partners, the 2018 forum is hosted by Southwest Petroleum University in Chengdu, China. The co-organizers are Kazan Federal University and State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Exploitation (China). KFU’s delegation is headed by Vice-Rector for Research, Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies Danis Nurgaliev. Science Secretary of ThEOR Milkhail Varfolomeev presented KFU’s results in underground refining catalysts and in-situ combustion. Over a dozen KFU representatives are also partaking.
The conference takes up 17th – 19th October.
