'Education and Self Development' journal admitted to Scopus

This is the first Kazan University's humanities journal to enter the global database.

Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education Aydar Kalimullin commented, “We now can more actively promote our research overseas and attract leading authors to publish their papers in our journal and make them accessible to Russian colleagues.”

Nick Rushby is currently a co-editor of Education and Self Development. He was invited in 2016 when the University management decided that the journal needs to work more diligently on its content and publication ethics. When Dr. Rushby joined the team, a major effort was made to revamp submission policies, editorial decision-making, and overall quality of material.

Dr. Kalimullin added, “Three years were dedicated to changing the procedures of submitting, correcting and editing of the papers, and then our editorial board finally received a letter from Dissernet that it had been excluded from the blacklist and would be recommended as an example of successful transformation.”

The editorial team plans to apply for Web of Science inclusion as well.
