Crimean Federal University delegation at Kazan University Clinic

Colleagues from Crimea arrived today.

The guest team was headed by Director of Georgievsky Medical Academy Yevgeny Krutikov. Clinic Chief Medical Officer Almir Abashev met them at his workplace and arranged a trip around the facilities. The delegation visited heart surgery rooms, an intensive care unit, and got familiarized with some of the high-tech equipment. The sides shared their vision and plans for the future.

Georgievsky Medical Academy, now a part of Crimean Federal University, is a home for 4,600 undergraduates, 480 residency students, 44 PhD candidates, and 86 master students.

Crimean University has recently advanced quickly towards a comprehensive practical model of medical education. Phantom classes and educational equipment are already in place. Now it’s time to establish a university clinic – this is where KFU’s fresh experience may be of great benefit.
