In the spirit of courtesy, none of the 10 nominations went to Kazan Federal University this time.

The First LEA Assembly was organized by Kazan Federal University (the Faculty of Law), Legal Expert Awards LLC, and Kazan Expo LLC. Liliya Bakulina, Dean of the Faculty of Law, heads the award jury.

She commented, “We decided to support the regional professional community and to evaluate contributions made by various legal bodies and individuals. This is the first regional competition of such type.”

The physical award is represented by a gold-colored lion statuette. Dr. Bakulina noted that the lion symbolizes that men and women of law are staunch defenders of social interests.

Executive Director of the Faculty's Alumni Association Ilsur Salikhov added, “It's important for us determine standard of quality. People need to aspire to something in their professional development.”
