Delegation of Namangan Engineering Pedagogical Institute paid a visit

Rector Shukurjon Kenjaboyev and his colleagues arrived to KFU for the first time since a cooperation agreement was signed in 2017.

First of all, the guests toured the Institute of Engineering and its labs which are in charge of driverless tech research. Rector Ilshat Gafurov, who was with them, said, “We bought this former factory building and created an engineering hub here. There is research in all of our priority areas here, from medicine to additive technology.”

Uzbekistani colleagues are interested in this experience. The primary stimulus for their visit was the upcoming opening of a large Hyundai plant (slated for 2020). First enrollees in master programs in automotive engineering will start their studies at the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute this fall.

Rector Kenjaboyev expressed his wishes for closer cooperation, “We have only seen one institute, and we are already mightily impressed. You really have everything, and you are ready to utilize that. We were parts of one state once, and our educational systems are still similar. We have arrived here to streamline practical relations. We want to learn your experience in building links with the industry.”
