A document was signed today in Laishevo District with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov present.

Rector Ilshat Gafurov and CEO Viktor Diachkov signed the agreement during an opening ceremony for a new technopark. The park is owned and operated by ICL Techno LLC, a specialized subsidiary of ICL.

President Minnikhanov said that this particular park is located in a technological zone administered by Innopolis Special Economic Zone, whose headquarters are in another suburb of Kazan in Verkhny Uslon District.

Kazan University has had a 10-year history of collaboration with ICL. Both fundamental and applied research is in play. The two sides now plan to make more detailed proposals for business.
