В рамках международной научно-практической конференции "Региональные аспекты интеграции: Европейский Союз и Евразийское пространство», организованной в рамках деятельности Центра превосходства Жана Монне в области европейских исследований VOICES+ профессор Катлин Малфлит (Католический Университет Лёвена, Бельгия) приняла участие в программе "Гипотеза", в которой рассказала о своих многолетних исследованиях посткоммунистических стран, отношений между Россией и ЕС, а еще ранее между Советским Союзом и Европой; о роли НАТО в ухудшении отношений между Россией и Европой; о несбывшихся ожиданиях европейцев по поводу вступления России в ЕС; о причинах интереса ЕС к Евразийскому экономическому союзу; и о том, какие страны играют ведущую роль в формировании общеевропейской политики. О том, почему надежда на объединенную Европу уже исчезла и как создать концепт Европы, которая бы устроила всех авторов объединенной Европы.

In the framework of the international scientific conference “Regional aspects of integration: the European Union and Eurasian space”, organized within the activity of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies VOICES+, professor Katlijn Malfliet (Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium) participated in the program “Hypothesis”, during which she elaborated on the long-term surveys of the postcommunist countries, relations between Russia and the EU, and between Soviet Union and Europe earlier on; on the role NATO plays in the deterioration of relations of Russia and Europe; on unfulfilled expectation of the European about Russian entering the EU; on the reasons of interest of the EU to the Eurasian Economic Union and on which countries play an important role in formation of the general European policy. About why the hope for united Europe in already gone and how to create a concept of Europe, atht would satisfy all of the authors of the United Europe.
