Kazan University is present in 13 of 14 subject areas.

RA Expert, one of the leading Russian rankings agencies, published new charts this week. Top 15 universities in Russia in each subject were included.

The methodology includes three major blocks, each weighing 1/3 of the total mark. They are - sustainability of research activities, demand for an institution's research, and growth quality in selected areas.

The following categories are where KFU is present (in descending order, depending on the University's position):

Earth Sciences – 1st;

Social Sciences – 5th;

Arts and Humanities – 7th;

Medicine – 7th;

Physics and Astronomy – 7th;

Materials Science – 8th-9th;

Computer Science – 9th;

Life Sciences – 9th;

Mathematics – 9th;

Chemical Engineering – 9th-10th;

Energy – 10th-11th;

Chemistry – 13th-15th;

Engineering – 14th-15th.
