Visit by Ambassador of Egypt Ihab Nasr

The Ambassador talked with Egyptian students and KFU executives on 20th April.

Both meetings were held at the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies. The University’s presentation was shown by Vice-Rector Linar Latypov. The sides then discussed academic mobility and joint educational programs. The Ambassador was pleasantly surprised by the number of students learning Arabic and by the fact that those are not only linguists but also historians, tourism specialists, and young people majoring in international relations. Among other matters, it was mentioned that mixed Arabic-Russian and Arabic-English curricula are feasible if undertaken in cooperation with Egyptian colleagues.

Mr. Nasr’s talk with students pertained to their life in Kazan, studies, and problems of global politics with regards to their native country.

During his stay in Kazan, the Ambassador also visited Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce, Russian Islamic Institute, Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Tatarstan, Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, and met with Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
