KFU and RIKEN confirm cooperation plans for seven more years

Today, Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky met with RIKEN management in Yokohama.

The current cooperation model was deemed successful and beneficial by both sides. KFU and RIKEN have been cooperating in joint labs in physics since 2012, in biochemistry – since 2014, and in medicine – since 2015. In May 2016, a strategic partnership agreement was signed, and in 2017, KFU-RIKEN Center was established. In 2017 alone, the two organizations published 61 joint papers. In August of that year, KFU, RIKEN, and Kanazawa University won a grant from the Government of Japan to educate leaders of the future.

The new strategy includes plans for educational and research projects.
