Guests from Turkey showed interest in educational opportunities at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology.

During the visit, Institute Director, Vice-Rector for Biomedicine Andrey Kiyasov accompanied the Turkish delegation at the Medical Simulation Center, the Anatomical Museum, and the new campus (former Kazan Military Hospital), where Wetlab, a new center for experimental medicine with a vivarium, is situated. The guests also noted cooperation opportunities with Regional Medical Engineering Center.

At the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan, the sides discussed possible double diploma programs. A proposal was made to organize Tatarstan-Turkey Weeks of Health and academic exchange with internships at the UMK’s many hospital.
