Austrade Business Development Manager talked over possible points of mutual interest

Natalia Konovalova visited the University today.

She briefly presented her agency to KFU employees, including Vice-Rector Linar Latypov and several institute representatives, and said, “If there is interest from our colleagues, we can help compile project proposals, initiatives, conference invitations, and joint project descriptions. That information then circulates through internal newsletters.”

Vice-Rector Latypov said that KFU’s primary focus with regards to Australia is research. He asked the visitor to invite Australian academics for a tour of the University in the future.

Later Ms. Konovalova outlined some of the possibilities in an interview to the KFU Media Center, “We can arrange joint scientific programs and postgraduate studies. We have spoken about a number of steps to find some mutual interest, and we will work on attracting Australian partners to Russia to meet with colleagues.

“KFU is an excellent university, a participant of Project 5-100. The University has some outstanding infrastructure and faculty – a great potential. We’d like to find suitable partners in Australia to further work for the benefit of our societies.”

Since 2015 until now, KFU staff have co-published 59 papers with Australian peers. As of today, there have been no cooperation agreements, so there is space to grow.
