12 Regensburg students to pair up with KFU peers for regional studies

A group from the University of Regensburg arrived to Kazan on 26th March.

The Tandem program, launched and curated by Associate Professor Olga Donetskaya, is aimed at regional studies of Russia and Germany. The program helps students to acquire crucial competences in intercultural communication and joint transnational projects. Results will be published in a special journal.

During this local part of the program, Kazanites are expected to help their guests with a mini-research, usually tied with visiting a ministry or a nonprofit to meet with employees. A return visit to Germany in October 2018 will be arranged in the same way.

Dr. Donetskaya said that multiple cultural pastimes are planned for the German students, including visits to theaters and museums.

All KFU students fluent in English or German are eligible to apply for Tandem.
