Kazan University to Open First Regional Office of Association of Islamic Psychologists

Persons in charge of the new office gave a press conference on 21st February.

At the conference, employees of the KFU Islamica Center were joined by Olga Pavlova, Associate Professor of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. She is attending a seminar on psychological consulting for Muslims at KFU.

Ms. Pavlova noted that the Association of Islamic Psychologists was established in fall 2017 and unites all experts in psychological help in this particular sphere. The Association coordinates various activities in education and research. As she added, the new organization sees practical help as its main priority.

As the whole nation will be covered by the Association’s activity, every Muslim now has the option to apply directly for help. Further down the road, online consultation will also be possible.

Associate Professor of the Department of Oriental, African and Islamic Studies of KFU Rezeda Safiullina-Al Ansi concluded that all 50 Islamic psychologists of Tatarstan are headquartered at the Islamica Center. It has become a platform for experience exchange and thematic events.

The announcement about the opening will be made tomorrow at a special roundtable.
