A meeting took place at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
The talks were attended by First Secretary of the Embassy Murad Begniyazov and Third Secretary Meylis Meymanov. KFU was represented by Director of the International Office Andrey Krylov, Counsellor to the Rector Oleg Pakhomov, and Chief Medical Officer of the University Clinic Almir Abashev.
Dr. Abashev spoke about the structure and work of the Clinic and stipulated his eagerness to conduct training for Turkmenistani physicians and to admit international patients. Mr. Krylov concurred and emphasized the current high level of professionalism of medical experts at the Clinic and at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology.
Secretary Begniyazov thanked the speakers and promised to transfer those proposals to competent authorities in his country.
The sides then proceeded to meet Turkmenistani students. Notably, their number has risen sharply in the last several years. For instance, only 10 students enrolled in 2010, and their current number at KFU is 264.
