A celebratory meeting was held at the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences on 8th February.

Academy President Myakzyum Salakhov and Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Andrey Pominov gave speeches, and KFU Professor Alexander Balakin presented a lecture 'Astrophysics in the 21st century: achievements and prospects'.

Gold medals of the Academy were awarded to Professor, Chair of the Department of Microbiology Olga Ilyinskaya and Professor of the Department of Tatar Literature Khatip Minnegulov.

Vladimir Engelhardt Prize in Biology went to Vice-Rector Andrey Kiyasov and Professor Albert Rizvanov for their work in gene and cell therapy for regenerative medicine.
