KFU Employee Shared Her Impressions of Davos Forum

Lyaysan Arsentyeva visited the event as a member of the Global Shapers Community.

She became the only Russian national to become a part of the team.

Speaking about the specifics of this year's forum, Dr. Arsentyeva noted, “This year, there were over 70 heads of state, businesspeople, politicians, and other individuals capable of changing the world. Despite their high social standing, I had the luck to converse informally with many of them.”

Among those to exchange words with the Associate Professor were King Philippe of Belgium, Alibaba Group CEO Jack Ma, founder of Microsoft Bill Gates, and others. She added that shapers stood out and were recognized in any audience because of their young age. The discussions were all linked with the forum’s topic – Visions for a Shared Future.

Resuming her stay at the meeting, Dr. Arsentyeva said, “There was talk about changing the way of the thinking, people’s mentality, about investment in young people for the sake of a sustainable future. Moreover, many experts agreed on the importance of acquiring basic knowledge as opposed to the use of gadgets.”
