The team was headed by Akim (Governor) of the region Krymbek Kusherbaev.

The team came to the Medical Simulation Center and the Medical Science Center on January 18th. The guests were accompanied by the Minister of Health of Tatarstan Adel Vafin and Vice-Premier of Tatarstan Shamil Gafarov. KFU was represented by Deputy Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology Rashat Fayzullin and Head of the Medical Simulation Center Lenar Rashitov.

Mr. Kusherbaev expressed interest in dispatching Kazakhstani youngsters to study medicine at KFU and in purchasing medical simulators for the needs of institutions in his region.
