KFU Employees Are among the Winners of 50 Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan Competition

The award ceremony for 2017 was held on 14th December with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin present.

Research Associate Marina Gomzikova (Gene and Cell Technology Lab) was awarded for her vesicle medication project. The technology involves human vesicles which stimulates angiogenesis in patients with ischemic tissue damage in order to restore blood circulation.

Associate Professors Elzara Gafiyatova and Nailya Mingazova won for their project titled “Ecology of My Native Land”. It’s an educational module in English aiming to familiarize middle schoolers with the environment and nature of Tatarstan.

The winners, depending on the specifics of their work, received cash prizes or grant funding for future research.

50 Best Innovative Ideas has been in place since 2004. The contest is co-organized by the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan and Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.
