Four employees of KFU's partner university arrived on November 23rd.

They were Executive Director of KU Yoko Okumura, Professor Mariko Saiki, Professor Masashi Mine, and Associate Professor Miyuki Inagaki. KFU team was headed by vice-rectors Dmitry Tayursky and Linar Latypov.

This past October, the two universities agreed to establish partner offices at each other’s premises. This was discussed at today’s meeting.

After the talks, the guests proceeded to the History Museum and the Zoological Museum. They also visited the Universiade Village and plan to attend the Center for Japanese Studies.

Tomorrow the delegates will continue their program, which will include a trip to the KFU Engelhardt Observatory.

In December, two more visits by Kanazawa academics are planned - physics, mathematics, and engineering squad in the beginning of the month, and medicine and linguistics squad – in the middle of the month.

As was mentioned today, by 2019 the student exchange between the sides should reach annual rates of 100 (from Japan to KFU) and 70 (from KFU to Kanazawa and RIKEN) persons.
