Online Education Enhancement Project Presented by KFU Master's Student to President Vladimir Putin

The presentation occurred during the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi.

A press conference was arranged in Kazan to summarize the experience of Tatarstani participants. Among the five speakers was Kristina Nikolaeva, KFU postgraduate student.

She partook in a foresight session for education and science and attended a closed meeting with President Putin with 100 other young people. She called the meeting a unique opportunity to present her vision of online education.

The project started with interviewing the WFYS participants. Information was gathered about their experience and troubles with online courses. Ms Nikolaeva has implemented one such idea during her work at a kindergarten in Kazan with measurable success – she taught kids to read in English in just one month through a gamified online course.

She now aims to systemize educational data, create an interactive guide to enhance people's experience with online sources, and to integrate geotagging for online learners. This, as she hopes, should help them meet in real life and add a new dimension to their everyday studying routines.
