KFU Talked about Youth Entrepreneurship Support at the Russia-China Congress of Young Businesspersons

The congress took place in Kazan on September 12th – 16th.

The congress was attended by entrepreneurs of both countries between the ages of 18 and 30 who represented agriculture, trade, industry, education, and IT.

Kazan Federal University was present at a panel called “Youth Entrepreneurship and Cooperation in Education”. Deputy Chairperson of the Russian Youth Union Tatyana Selivyorstova greeted the participants and noted there are already four Russia-China student business incubators in both countries.

Head of the Transfer and Commercialization Unit of the KFU Innovation Office Marina Vasilyeva reported on the youth entrepreneurship support system at KFU. In particular, she said, “Youth entrepreneurship at KFU is divided into different domains. I would specifically mention the Technological Business Accelerator which supervises two educational programs – Young Innovators and Young Innovative Startups. The accelerator aims to serve KFU students and employees, as well as other universities of Tatarstan”.

A new business incubator is planned as a result of this event. New bilateral projects are also expected to arise.
