Intelligent Robotics department's student Ksenia Shabalina won the second prize at the Competition of the Best Scientific KFU Papers

Each year Kazan Federal University holds the Best Scientific Work Competition among students of various fields and then best works are published in scientific journals. The competition consists of three rounds. This year, a 4th year Bachelor student of the Intelligent Robotic Systems Laboratory (LIRS) Ksenia Shabalina won the second place in Engineering field nomination. She presented her Bachelor thesis research work «2D calibration methods for a mono-camera for use in the calibration of the hardware-software complex of manipulators of the anthropomorphic robot AR-601».

Ksenia’s scientific supervisor, Professor Evgeni Magid, was awarded with a Letter of appreciation on behalf of scientific activities pro-rector D.K. Nurgaliyev of Kazan Federal University (KFU) for research supervision of the winner of Competition for the best scientific work of KFU students.The award ceremony took place on May 23 at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU.
