The negotiations on August 29th pertained to a planned training center.

The German enterprise at the meeting was represented by Director of Rohde & Schwarz Rus Oleg Medvedev and Head of the Tatarstan Office of the company Denis Saraev.

The sides discussed the ongoing process of equipment purchases and preparation of joint curricula – as was outlined in a trilateral memorandum signed by them and Rostec in July 2016. The first stage includes five educational program prepared for launch in 2017/2018. These are Spectral Analysis of Radio Frequency Signals, Methods and Equipment for Research of Electrophysical Properties of Materials, Modelling of UHF Devices, Patent Management, and Automation of Measurement Processes.

These courses aim to attract interest to the topics introduced by the KFU – Rohde & Schwarz Educational Center. In total, 17 programs are planned in this project. Oleg Medvedev commented, “The scientific, fundamental part of these courses is prepared by KFU experts. On our side, we are ready to dispatch engineers who can explain all the details characteristic for specific devices. I think we can create really effective courses in this manner. Moreover, we are ready to publish this information on our website”.

The equipment and the Center will be located in the Institute of Engineering. The partners visited the facilities today and were content with their size and quality. The opening ceremony, as was agreed, should take place sometime before the end of 2017 with KFU, Rohde & Schwarz, and Rostec participating.
