Kazan University Preparatory Courses May Soon Start in Anhui Province

A delegation of school principals from Fuyang city visited on July 26th.

17 principals together with accompanying education officials were greeted by Vice-Rector Linar Latypov and Director of International Office Andrey Krylov.

As the Vice-Rector mentioned, there are currently about 650 Chinese students at KFU. They are mainly concentrated in humanities, such as Russian language, sociology, journalism, and international relations. Almost all of them go through a preparatory yearly course of Russian language and culture. So as to save this time, Dr. Latypov suggested creating a preparatory school at one of Fuyang's schools. Those who plan to enroll in KFU may take lessons and exams right on the spot. A preliminary agreement was reached with one of the principals for such an arrangement. Paperwork should follow soon.

“China is a friendly country for us. Chinese students eagerly arrive to Kazan and study brilliantly at KFU. Kazan is not a large city by Chinese standards, so students can feel a family atmosphere here. We will be glad to see youngsters from Fuyang here”, said the Vice-Rector.

The delegation also visited the History Museum, the Geological Museum, and the Universiade Village.
