A relevant forum will be held in 2018.
The forum will be devoted to various questions, including Russian Silk Road corridors and their linkage to the corridors situated in the neighboring countries. The UNESCO Silk Road transnational nomination covers Central Asian countries, Mongolia, China, and Iran. Representatives of all the countries will be invited to Kazan to discuss the matter.
This and other issues were talked over at the 7th International Forum on Tourism and Culture in Khakassia, Russia. KFU World Cultural Heritage Center was present at the event and reported about its work on nominations of Sviyazhsk.
Director of the Center Rafael Valeev and Director of the Higher School of History and World Cultural Heritage Ayrat Sitdikov made contributions at the forum. Their colleagues from Russian regions were very interested to learn more about the details of their work.
Furthermore, a proposal was voiced to establish an association of regions on whose territory the historical Silk Road routes are situated.
The forum in Khakassia attracted over 3,000 experts in heritage policies from governments, educational institutions, private companies, and other entities of different countries.
