New 2017 results were published on June 6th.
Moscow State University remains number one, MEPhI is second (also unchanged since 2016), and Saint-Petersburg State University is now third (up two positions). Higher School of Economics has also climbed two rungs and is now fourth in the rankings.
Kazan University is first among the ten federal universities, the second being Ural Federal University on the 15th place.
The rankings include 264 universities this year.
Recently KFU was also included in the Top 10 salary rankings for Russian IT alumni. The research was made by Superjob, one of the popular online recruiting portals. KFU alumni can count on receiving offers of about 81,000 RUB a month gross (Moscow purchasing power parity), which is 10th best in Russia. Despite being in high demand in the federal capital, 60% of local IT graduates choose to stay in Tatarstan.
