Cooperation Agreement Signed by Szechenyi Istvan University and Kazan University

The signatories were Vice-Rector Linar Latypov and Vice-Rector Laszlo Komlosi.

The Hungarian side was also represented by Charge d’Affaires of the Consulate of Hungary in Kazan Laszlo Daroczy and Professor of Russian Language at SIU Istvan Bakonyi.

The cooperation was to a great extent facilitated by a Hungarian government grant for the internationalization and globalization of local universities.

The visit took two days. Among the facilities visited by the Hungarian guests were the History Museum, the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Chemistry, the Institute of Engineering, and the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies; Dr. Bakonyi presented his lecture “Episodes from the history of Hungary and its contacts with Russia” at the latter. In his turn, Dr. Komlosi stopped at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication to deliver two lectures – “Digital literacy and social knowledge” and “Higher education and its economico-socio-cultural environment: Third mission of a university”.
