Rusan Pharma and Kazan University Eye Joint Research Project

One of the leading Indian pharmaceutical companies is very interested in attracting KFU talent to its work.

A meeting was held on May 31st with participation from Rector Ilshat Gafurov, Director of the National Public Health Institute Ramil Khabriev, and Director of the Russian Branch of Rusan Pharma (Euro Med Moscow) Ashok Kumar.

Before the meeting the guests visited the Institute of Fundamental Medicine where Director of IFMB Andrey Kiyasov and Head of the Pharmacy Center Yury Shtyrlin showed them around. Rector Gafurov noted that KFU has all the necessary human capital and infrastructure to be an indispensable partner.

Mr. Kumar shared that his company is already in cooperation with Moscow State University and some other research institutions in Russia and many other countries. Rusan Pharma aims to form a team of scientists to make breakthroughs in pharmaceutical innovation. The firm is ready to offer internships for KFU specialists.

«Currently about 20% of our supply is for Russia and CIS, and that's imported products. We hope that our next step in Tatarstan is opening our production line here – this will be a logical continuation of our work in research and testing», said Kumar.

Many ideas were voiced, and further discussion is in order. All the sides – Rusan, KFU, National Public Health Institute, and Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, will specify their requirements.

The Indian visitors later continued their tour at Tatchempharmpreparaty and Ministry of Industry and Trade.
