The meeting took place on May 23rd.

The Board includes local and international businesspersons and experts:

- Valery Sorokin, General Director of JSC Svyazinvestneftekhim;

- Ilshat Fardiev, General Director of JSC Gridcom;

- Rifdar Hamadyarov, Head of HR Department of JSC Tatneft;

- Svetlana Sotova, Deputy General Director for Economy and Finance of JSC Ak Bars Holding;

- Ayrat Bashirov, President of JSC Danaflex;

- Virginijus Kundrotas, Dean of Adizes Graduate School, Vice President for West Europe & Baltics of Adizes Institute, Vice-president of Central and East European Management Development Association;

- Park Song Joo, Honorary Professor of KAIST College of Business.

Valery Sorokin was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Director of the Higher School of Business Alsu Akhmetshina stated the following tasks as primary for the Board:

- developing its strategy as the leading business school in the region;

- helping in introducing the best international practices in curricula;

- attracting funding for the School's development;

- training the staff of the companies which are the members of the Board by establishing special purpose endowments.

Dr. Akhmetshina then presented her report “On the current positioning of the Higher School of Business on the business education market”.
